How often should you hold performance reviews? For many businesses, the traditional annual appraisal is no longer enough.

employment law

Annual reviews provide a useful opportunity to reflect on performance and discuss longer-term development. However, more regular conversations can help managers address challenges earlier, recognise progress and keep employees focused on their goals.

A practical approach could include:

• An annual formal review

• A six-month progress review

• Shorter quarterly or monthly check-ins

The right structure will depend on your business, your managers and the needs of your employees. What matters is that conversations are consistent, constructive and followed by clear actions.

When did you last review your performance management process?

Earlier this year, we successfully launched our Employment Rights Act – Stage 1 training, helping employers understand the first wave of upcoming employment law changes.

The changes do not stop there. Stage 2 is coming soon!

Confident Managers

Stage 2 will provide a closer look at the next phase of the Employment Rights Act and the practical steps employers should be taking to prepare.

Whether you attended Stage 1 or are joining us for the first time, the course will give you the knowledge and confidence to stay compliant and ahead of the changes.

You can also contact us to book the Stage 1 course or register your interest in Stage 2.

Is Your Business Protected? Employment law is constantly evolving, and keeping your business compliant can be challenging.

The Summer Bank Holiday weekend is almost here, and we would like to wish all our clients, colleagues and connections an enjoyable and restful break.

Taking time away from work matters. We hope everyone has the opportunity to switch off, recharge and return feeling refreshed.
